Cell meetings
Cell groups are smaller groups which give us a chance to examine the bible a little more in depth!
We meet up in our cell groups. To take a bit of sneaky peak at other parts of the bible too. These are broken down into geographical areas and most cell groups seem to follow a series so people have something to run by other people.
These happen once a week and offer a chance for prayer, study and fellowship together. Exactly when and where is up to the individual group leaders, but it's generally on an evening one day a week in someone's house or flat but this can vary and isn't always the case!
These are a great chance to build up trust and friendships, and get to know people a lot more closely than is possible in the large main meetings. You will get to know the people in your cell quite well, and it is a great opportunity to do evangelistic events together as a group. If you sign up to be in a cell, you'll be put in the one that meets closest to you in Bournemouth (Or Poole!), and the leader will give you more specific information about that group.
We currently have cells geared for..
The Arts Institute, International Students, Winton, Charminster, Town and Halls.
Other Information
We have big weekly meetings.. but we also meet up in smaller groups called cell groups too during the week..
Despite the fact that this is all great fun, CU isn't nearly half as fun as some of the churches we're involved with. CU is in addition to our own church communities, not a replacement!
We as a Christian Union do a few other events every so often to mix it up on our wednesday meetings..
