Weekly meetings

The 'CU' meets every wednesday, but this isn't our alternative to our own Churches.. whatever form they take!

When? 8 pm (Till around 10 pm)

Where?

Why? Not only to remind ourselves of the community we find ourselves in but general notices, annoucements and heads-up on events around the corner. We also use this opportunity to learn more about God's word and how it can directly apply to us today, in addition we also have this accompanied by a period of praise. Be it singing or.. something potentially a bit more 'avant-garde'. On the side, a bit of general banter never goes amiss!

So what part of the word are you guys looking at now then? We're just wrapping up a look at John's Gospel and the I AM sayings that Jesus' makes about himself. Each week we've taken a gander and had a go at cracking it open to see what more we can learn about God and how the depth and content of these sayings can change us. It's been pretty good so far!

You guys do anything else? What happens after?? After the main meeting it's quite common for the CU to migrate down to O'neil's just on the turn-off to Bath Road by the roundabout (down the road from the hub). We usually have people around till 12.

Bournemouth Christian Union is a collection of students from both the University and Arts Institute of Bournemouth who are interested in living, exploring and sharing their faith as Christians whilst at university.

We have plenty going on throughout the year and so if your curious about coming along to one of our meetings or getting involved feel free to look around the website and get in contact using the contact link on the navigation menu. The CU offers a place for students who share a common faith or interest in Christianity to come together and learn more practically about the work of a Christian out in the world and also use this to make Christ known to those on campus and serve those around us in what ways we can, this is our primary focus.
